Be the leader you are meant to be through NSLS

The main goal of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is to teach students the skills to become future leaders in our community and our world. Here at the Viterbo Chapter of NSLS, we are building strong, motivated and successful future leaders through networking teams with fellow students and inspirational national presenters, along with support and guidance from local chapter leaders.

The student-centered networking teams meet to set individual goals for each person, to offer suggestions for each to reach their goals and to hold each other accountable to obtain goal-oriented outcomes. Along with these Success Networking Teams, students have access to some of the most inspirational, inventive and successful people in our world through live speaker broadcasts. These speakers share their stories and expertise, as well as provide helpful building blocks to discover and achieve personal goals.

One speaker, in particular, stood out to me this spring. Blake Mycoskie, CEO of TOMS Shoes, turned a vacation into a global mission. Through a very innovative business plan, he is donating pairs of shoes to the needy: one pair donated for every pair purchased. His company has already donated over 10 million pairs of shoes worldwide.

Speakers such as Blake Mycoskie are helping change our world for the better through their personal missions and values. Along with these great tools, the local chapter executive board works to ensure Viterbo gets the best of what NSLS has to offer.

This opportunity is a great way to learn that each of us have leadership qualities, successful futures and an ability to impact others in positive ways, when we are given the chance and the tools to perform excellence every day.

NSLS has catapulted me to success with my business, given me a chance to give back to others in my community. As the NSLS Viterbo Chapter Student President, I have had the opportunity to play a vital role in helping to create future leaders here at Viterbo University. I have learned more about myself and how to use my abilities to create a drive and passion to reach and obtain goals I never dreamed were possible. This has helped make me who I am today.

The National Society of Leadership and Success has given me so much to be thankful for, and it’s my mission to give others this same opportunity to be successful leaders. Let us help you become who you were meant to be.
