MK: To complete our dinner and a movie night, Molly and I went to Cass Bar located on the corner of Seventh and Cass streets. The sports bar and grill, which opened almost a year ago, offers the usual bar food. But the draw to this place is the ultra cheap nightly specials.
Only two days really matter: Burger Monday and Wing Wednesday. The cheeseburgers are $2 on Mondays. BBQ wings on Wednesdays are very good, but the price is what is glorious: 25 cents per wing. That’s a $2 meal, my friends. Take that, Buffalo Wild Wings.
Just like all bars, the atmosphere varies from fun and lively to crowded and obnoxious. The bartenders are sometimes slow and inattentive. But overall, it has good food at unbelievably low prices.
MG: Dear readers, yes, Missy and I are teaming up yet again to tell you how we feel about entertainment-related things…you’re welcome.
I had no idea Cass Bar existed until Missy told me so. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised. Since Missy has already brought up the bar’s best feature, the affordability factor, I will comment on the place’s ambiance.
It’s Wisconsin-y through and through. From the mounted fish to the basketball light fixture to the secret posters in the bathroom, the place feels charming and local.
If you’re sick of making fast food runs to chain restaurants, Cass Bar is worth getting to know. And, since Cass Bar is classified as a sports bar and grill, you don’t have to be 21 years old to enter.
